Manuka Honey

Manuka honey is a honey from the native Manuka tree in New Zealand, which is highly antibacterial in nature and rich in nutrients such as vitamins. For a long time, Maori, the indigenous people of New Zealand, used Manuka as a treatment for wounds, high fever, and cold symptoms.

Manuka honey is excellent in suppressing Helicobacter pylori, which causes stomach ulcers and gastritis, and Staphylococcus aureus, which is not treated well with antibiotics, and is also effective in dermatitis, acne, and eczema.

MG(MGO, Methylglyoxal)

MG is an anti-inflammatory component of manuka honey identified by the University of Dresden, Germany, and is a New Zealand government-approved antimicrobial level unit along with UMF.

In the case of Manuka honey, MG must be tested by a New Zealand government accredited lab and the figures must be labelled.
